FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP— Through a 20-year partnership with CentraState Healthcare System, students participating in the Freehold Regional High School District’s Medical Sciences Magnet Program are offered the ability to participate in a unique externship program at CentraState where twice a month they attend a lecture series and shadow physicians and health care providers throughout the medical center. The Medical Sciences Magnet Program, housed at Freehold High School offers unique learning opportunities to its students through a rigorous program of mathematics and science within a comprehensive high school setting.
Seniors graduating from this program are invited to apply for one of the following seven scholarships: 33 East Car Wash (two scholarships in memory of Jack Aaronson), DCH Freehold Toyota, Family Practice of CentraState in Memory of Kenneth Faistl, MD, Robert “Bo” McLean Scholarship, the Joseph S. Schwertz, Sr. EdD. Memorial Scholarship and the CentraState Band Aid Open Committee Scholarship.
