NOVEMBER 3, 2024, MANALAPAN – Garden State Heart Care in conjunction with CentraState Healthcare Foundation held the 1^st Annual Run for Your Lives 5K to benefit the Robertshaw Cardiovascular Interventional Center and cardiovascular services at CentraState Healthcare System.

The event was an incredible success, thanks to the huge heart of the event organizer Jillian Christensen of Garden State Heart Care. Under her leadership and alongside the CentraState cardiovascular services team, the event was sold out at 200 participants, and raised over $18,000 to the cause that they are most passionate about. In addition to the 5K, community members and organizations hosted education stations for attendees to teach them about cardiovascular health, fitness, and medical education.

Speakers included Former Freehold Township Mayor and current CentraState Healthcare System Board of Trustees Secretary/Treasurer Barbara McMorrow, Dr. Jatinchandra Patel of Garden State Heart Care, and Amy Quinlan of CentraState.

A commemorative and celebratory ribbon cutting and check presentation was conducted by Manalapan Township Mayor Susan Cohen, Manalapan Township Deputy Mayor Jack McNaboe, Jake Leibowitz of Raceway Kia Freehold, Mary Valinotti of Max Fitness, CentraState Healthcare System Board of Trustees Chair Nadia Batchelor and Barbara McMorrow.
